Captain C. Clark Tyson began his EMS career with Forsyth County EMS in June of 1979.  He graduated from Guilford Technical Institute in August of 1979 with an Associates Degree in EMS and became a Mobile Intensive Care Technician (MICT) in October of 1979.  Captain Tyson attend Wake Forest University, while working as a medic, and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Management in 1986.  In 1987 he was promoted to position of Assistant Shift Supervisor with the rank of Lieutenant.  In 1997 he was promoted to Shift Supervisor with the rank of Captain.  He attended the University of Maryland via distance education and graduated with a Masters in Emergency Health Science in May of 2002.  Captain Tyson assumed the duties of Equipment Officer in January of 2003.

In July 2006, Captain Tyson was promoted to the position of Quality Management Coordinator.
